We work closely with your doctor to ensure that we achieve the goals that are set forth by your doctor, therapist and yourself. Monthly progress reports are sent to your doctor keeping him / her updated on your recovery progress.
Patient education is a priority at Optimum Physical Therapy. We believe in encouraging you to be independent and knowledgeable in your continued health. By the time you have completed your prescribed treatment, you will be well-versed in your home exercise programs, thereby reducing the chance of re-injury.
Margaret Dibbini, MS, PT
A New York state licensed Physical Therapist and the founder of Optimum Physical Therapy, a practice designed to serve individuals needing rehabilitation for functional disabilities and / or limitations.
Margaret holds an undergraduate degree in Health Science and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Margaret previously practiced at the Albert Einstein College Of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals, where she specialized in outpatient orthopedic and manual therapy. Additionally, she developed a strong background in massage therapy, neurological, musculoskeletal, geriatric, pediatric and oncology conditions.

DIRECT ACCESS
Under New York State Law patients may now receive treatment from a licensed physical therapist without a referral from a physician or other healthcare provider for 10 visits or 30 days, whichever occurs first. If permitted by your insurance company, "Direct Access" is your opportunity to save time and money, thereby expediting your treatment, relief, and recovery.

I was referred to Optimum by my primary care physician even though the facility has it's own in house PT department. I found everyone at Optimum to be very friendly, caring and thoroughly trained and knowledgeable with their job.
Upon entering the facility the receptionist makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. After the first visit she knows your name and remembers what area of the body you are there to have treated.
I was having treatments for lower back pain which subsided after a month of visits and was able to discontinue treatment. However, after being away from therapy for 3 1/2 months I found myself returning for treatment to my knee and as soon as Megan heard my name over the phone she asked me how I was feeling and how my back was.
I find Margaret to be exceptionally skilled in providing treatment and very thorough when she does the initial intake evaluation. She asked many questions about my condition and offered advice on how to avoid further injury and ways to deal with the pain. Margaret also is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to make the patient feel comfortable when receiving treatment.
